Tips on how to find a job |

My major was in psychology. When I graduated from college, I realized a few things:
- You can't get a decent job with a Bachelor's degree in any Liberal Arts field
- Networking is everything - knowing someone is better than having credential
- Everyone wants to hire the "more experienced" person, but none of them want to hire you to develop your experience
- Working for yourself is better than working for someone else
Why did I realize this? Because I applied to so many jobs and got turned down so many times for all the wrong reasons. Some people just didn't even call me back. I thought, "Do I know how to find a job?" The answer was "Yes.", but the real question was, "Do I really want to work for someone else from 9-5?"
Nevertheless, for some people having the security of a "real" job is necessary and that's why knowing how to find a job is very important. You already know how to make a resume and interview - but my advice is to go out and meet people. That's right. Put yourself in social situations. Networking is everything, and if you know how to find a job, you know how to network.
