How to Find a Job Starts with a Resume |

I have some schooling in how to build a resume, have researched some techniques to staying relevant and spoke with a buddy still in college taking a course currently focused on creating the best free resume builder. One of the first things I did to my own resume when trying to figure out how to find a job amongst so much competition is thinning down the fat to fit nicely on a single page. I’m not a hiring manager but I am sure these people have seen every single free resume builder template on the planet over and over again. I would lose the reference section of the resume if you have one. It takes up valuable space and really doesn’t matter unless the hiring manager wants to take it to the next step. Don’t bother with something like, “References upon request.” This is already understood.
Think carefully about whether or not to use an objective statement. Most people tailor it to exactly what the job description asks for and interviewers know this. Maybe use this space to briefly highlight your strengths. Trying to find a job today is much harder then years past but there are openings out there every single day. Turn to resume advice and a free resume builder to get your foot in the door.
